Start from the day rate
Look at what similar items rent for near you on Marketplace and Kijiji, then set a day rate you would be happy to get on a quiet Tuesday. That is your floor.
Add a weekend rate
Most party rentals go out Friday and come back Sunday or Monday. A weekend rate that is less than three day rates reads as a deal and fills your Saturdays.
Weekly and monthly rates
For longer rentals, a weekly rate keeps a long booking from costing more than it should. RentStand always charges the cheapest mix of day, weekend, week and month rates for the dates picked.
Deposits and delivery
- Set a deposit per unit that covers a cleaning fee or a small repair, not the full replacement cost.
- Charge delivery by distance or as a flat fee, and say plainly what setup costs.
- Busy months can carry a seasonal price. Set it once and it applies to rentals starting then.
